1973 fick den även modifierade stötfångare från 99:an. 1974, som var sista tillverkningsåret, fick Sonetten stripes på nederdelen av karossen. Av 1974 årsmodell byggdes 2 500 bilar. Totalt tillverkades drygt 10 000 exemplar av Saab Sonett. Saab prototypes.
